As soon as the baby was out Heather lifted it up and gave it a gentle smack, not entirely sure why, but it's what they do on TV when a baby is born so who were we to argue. So that was it, our first delivery, and it went wonderfully well. All that remained was to zip her up and introduce our Bagpuss to her new son.

Almost as soon as the zip was closed our Bagpuss stirred and was soon cuddling and feeding her boy. Our Bagpuss seemed completely back to normal after the procedure, which I think shows that Heather did a marvelous job.
